Two youths arrested near Thondaman residence

Two youths were taken into custody by the Police Monday on a complaint that they had allegedly used a telescope to monitor the Dimbulagala residence of Minister Arumugan Thondaman. The suspects were arrested on receipt of information from the security officials of Mr.Thondaman.

The suspects, said to be staying in Wellawatte, were produced in Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court Tuesday.

The Magistrate remanded the suspects until a later date as the Police informed the court that the inquiry into the incident is not complete.
