The body of disabled Daniel Santharupan, 30, who was abducted allegedly by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers in broad day light at Thettkiyalady in Chunnakam, Valigamam, Tuesday 11:00 a.m, was found with severe cut wounds near the same area Monday, sources said. Meanwhile, two civilians were abducted during the curfew hours between 12:00 midnight and 2:00 a.m. Monday early morning by Sinhala speaking armed men and SLA soldiers, according to complaints filed by relatives at the Jaffna offices of Sri Lanka Human Rights Commission (HRC), civil sources in Jaffna said.

Sittampalam Puvanendran, 46, from Eachamottai in Chundukuli area within the Jaffna Municipal boundary, was taken by more than six armed Sinhala speaking men who visited his home midnight Sunday, sources said.

The abductors said they were taking Puvanendran for investigations. The men took him on foot.

The abductors assaulted the relatives and neighbors, and fired warning shots in the air, when they tried to stop the men from taking Puvanendran, the relatives filed in their complaint with the HRC.

In another incident near Mathias Road, Chundukuli at 1:20 a.m. SLA soldiers who came to 26 year old Velayutham Emil Pramitan's home, took him away after interrogating his father and brothers, relatives said.

Pramitan owned a radio repair shop in Jaffna town, his parents said.

Local residents said that an SLA camp is located about 350 meters from the abductee's home.
