SLA arrests three Tamil youths in Vavuniya

The Sri Lanka Army (SLA) Friday morning arrested three Tamil youths travelling in a private bus to Mannar from Vavuniya. Monitors of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) have been informed of the arrest, sources said.

The private bus bound for Mannar left Vavuniya Friday morning around 6 a.m.

Three Tamil youths stopped the bus outside Vavuniya town and boarded the bus at Murunkan.

A group of SLA soldiers stopped the bus at Koolankulam and arrested these three youths and took them away.

Fellow passengers informed Mr.Selvam Adaikalanathan of the arrest and he brought the matter to the notice of the SLMM monitors based in Vavuniya, sources said.
