The Fort Police arrested them on 6 May while staying in a lodge located along Dam Street in Colombo in a cordon and search operation, and later remanded by the Colombo court, sources said.

Thambirajah Anbarasan, Thambirajah Valarmugan, and their mother Thambirajah Paranjothy and other five persons Rajathurai Kamalathas, Sellan Ketheeswaran, Kanthasamy Ramanan, Vignarajah Kirithan and Jovan Chandrakumar, were released by the Court Thursday, legal sources said.

The court was told that except Thambirajah Paranjothy, others had come to Colombo to go abroad.
