SLAF bombs Ki'linochchi residential areas

Two Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) kfir jets dropped bombs near
Maangku'lam Makaa Viththiyaalayam (Senior school) Tuesday around 9:50 a.m, and later around 1:30 p.m bombed civilian settlements in Thiruvaiyaa'ru and Koavinthan Kadaichchanthi areas, located 3 km from Ki'linochchi town, sources in Ki'linochchi said.
The students of Maangku'lam Mahaavithiyalayam, numbering more than 750 scattered in panic when the bombs fell and exploded near Maangku'lam junction, 1 km away. No one was wounded. People who had come to buy provisions and the traders at Maangku'lam junction ran seeking shelters as the place shook, residents said. Two SLAF kfirs entering Vanni air space around 1:10 p.m, circled over Ki'linochchi town area for nearly 20 minutes causing school students and people to flee in fear. The kfirs then flew 3 km towards Thiruvaiyaa'ru and Koavinthan
Kadaichchanthy areas and bombed twice the civilian settlements there. The bombs failed to explode and residents there escaped death and injury, sources said. SLAF kfir jets bombed the fishing village Valaippaadu in Mannaar
district Monday.
