Family man reported missing in Jaffna town

An employee of a business establishment in Jaffna town had gone missing after reporting for work Sunday morning, according to a complaint registered with Human Rights Commission (HRC) Jaffna office by his wife. His friends had seen him last Sunday noon in the business area in Jaffna town, his wife said.

Nallathurai Sounthararasa, 38, a father of one child is a resident of Charasaalai south, Chaaavakacheari in Thenmaraadchi.

A 34-year-old family man, also from Chaavakachcheari and ordered by Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troopers to report at their Madduvil camp, sought protection with the HRC Jaffna office July 23, expressing fears that his life was in danger.
