Mannaar police division office opened

Mr.N.H.Kudahetty Monday morning assumed duties as the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for the newly created Mannaar police division, according to security sources in Mannaar. Vavuniya Police will transfer to the new Mannaar Police station administration of all police stations and sentry points located in Mannaar district.

The office of the Mannaar division SSP was also opened Monday. Rt.Rev. Rayappu Joseph, Bishop of Mannar diocese, Deputy Inspector General of Police for Wanni region Mr.Rohan Siriwardene, Mannaar Government Agent Mr.A.Nicholaspillai, Mannaar Divisional Secretary Ms Stanley de Mel, OIC, Mannaar Police Mr.Suthath Dasmada, Mannar district Eelam Peoples Democratic Party (EPDP), Mr.Ilyathamby Harischandra and Mannaar Police Public Relations Officer Mr.Cyril Balu and heads of government departments and traders participated in the event
