Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister, Lakshman Kadirgamar, will be in South Africa tomorrow on an official visit to discuss the question of the LTTE's alleged activities in that country said Sri Lankan foreign ministry sources today.
The minister will take up the matter with South African officials they said. He will also, according to them, express the Sri Lankan government's grave concern over the delay in taking concerted action on the issue. Recent reports in the Sri Lankan press have alleged that the LTTE has been receiving military training in South Africa. The reports have also said that there have been official contacts between the ANC and the LTTE Political analysts have speculated that the Sri Lankan government is deeply concerned by recent reports suggesting South Africa as a possible mediator in resolving the conflict in Sri Lanka.
