The body of an SLA trooper and weapons left behind have been recovered by the LTTE, Ilanthirayan said. The SLA had preceded the operation with heavy artillery barrage and Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher fire from their positions. The SLA troops retreated back to their positions after three hours of heavy fighting, LTTE spokesman said. An LTTE combatant died in the fighting, Ilanthirayan said.
