Two Tamil civilians reported missing in Trincomalee

Two Tamil civilians from Ka'n'niyaa in Trincomalee have been reported missing since Monday after they left their home to cut firewood in Wilgam Vihare jungle located along Trincomalee-Anuradhapura road, about 10 km off north of east port city.

The relatives of the missing persons, Rajkumar, 21, of Koa'nesapuri and Vaviparan, 41, of Chaampaltheevu, lodged complaints with the Uppuve'li Police.

Later, the female relatives who went in search of the missing persons on their own, have located the abandoned cart and bulls of the missing persons.

The disappearance has also been brought to the notice of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in Trincomalee.
