Ki'linochchi DS hires TechShack to setup IT infrastructure

TechShack, VanniTech’s Employment Incubation Centre, in a press release issued on Sunday said it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with District Secretariat of Ki'linochchi, on the first day of 2008, to setup and maintain its computer systems and networks.

TechShack will install a network consisting more than 30 computers and peripheral devices for District Secretariat, Kilinochchi. It will also maintain about 100 computers and printers, including the existing ones for three branches of District Secretariat for one year. The MOU is worth of SLRs 460,830.

TechShack is VanniTech’s Employment Incubation Center, established for the purpose of training students and creation of employment. It utilizes VanniTech students and graduates to serve the technological advancement in the region.

VanniTech, based in Ki'linochchi and established by ITTPO and funded by donors from abroad, is an Advanced Technological Institute, and a registered Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in Sri Lanka.

ITTPO is an independent, non-profit (501 (c) (3)) organization, based in the Silicon Valley region of California, USA, and an approved Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in Sri Lanka.
