2 corpses washed ashore at Ka’luvangchchikudi

Two corpses of youths with bullet wounds and cut injuries were found washed ashore Tuesday around 11:00 a.m on a river bank in Onthaachchimadam area in Ka’luvvaangchchikudi in Batticaloa district. The two corpses were identified as those of two youths who had gone missing since Saturday, Ka’luvaangchchikudi police said.
The victims were identified as A. Mahadevan, 25, from Onthaachchimadam and S. Sithamparapillai, 30, a resident of Ka’luvaangnchchikudi. The police handed over the corpses to Ka’luvaangchchikidi hospital for post mortem examination. Bullet wounds and cut injuries were found on the neck, chest of the killed youths, Dr. Chandran, attached to Ka’luvaangchchikudi hospital said. The bodies were given to the relatives of the youths after post mortem examination was held.
