2 corpses washed ashore at Ka値uvangchchikudi

Two corpses of youths with bullet wounds and cut injuries were found washed ashore Tuesday around 11:00 a.m on a river bank in Onthaachchimadam area in Ka値uvvaangchchikudi in Batticaloa district. The two corpses were identified as those of two youths who had gone missing since Saturday, Ka値uvaangchchikudi police said.

The victims were identified as A. Mahadevan, 25, from Onthaachchimadam and S. Sithamparapillai, 30, a resident of Ka値uvaangnchchikudi.

The police handed over the corpses to Ka値uvaangchchikidi hospital for post mortem examination.

Bullet wounds and cut injuries were found on the neck, chest of the killed youths, Dr. Chandran, attached to Ka値uvaangchchikudi hospital said.

The bodies were given to the relatives of the youths after post mortem examination was held.
