A domestic airline EXPO-AIR which took off at 7.30 a.m. from Ratmalana to Palaali on Thursday with 30 passengers was forced to land shortly after it took off due to the fire developed in one of the engines, Civil Aviation sources said.

Before the flight landed it circled twice over Ratmalana airport and many ambulances were called for emergency landing.

No one was hurt in the incident.

The domestic airline experienced similar problems many times last year.
