15-year-old girl killed in SLAF airstrike

A 15-year-old girl was killed Thursday morning around 6:30 a.m. when Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) bombers attacked Punnaineeraaviyadi in Visuvamadu in Mullaiththeevu district, according to Tamileelam Police. Four SLAF bombers dropped more than 16 bombs on civilian settlement in Piramanthan aa’ru located one and a half km from Visuvamadu junction.

Anchalas Sulaksana, 15, girl killed in the SLAF attack was a grade ten student of Ki’linochchi St. Fatima Girls’ School.

Sulaksana was staying with her relatives in Visuvamadu after sitting for the term end examinations.

More than eight houses were damaged when bombs fell and exploded on them.
