Family man abducted in Colombo

Two men in police uniform and three armed men in civil clothes arriving in a police jeep and a white van at the house of a family man Saturday early morning in Maddakku’li in Mukaththuvaaram police division in Colombo took him away in the van, according to the complaint made to Mukaththuvaaram police station and Human Rights Commission, by his family members.
The man abducted is Nadarajah Sivarajah, a Justice of the Peace and the father of three children of Henthalathodupala Street, Maddakku’li. The abductors knocked on the door of Sivarajah’s house and took him away saying he was to be interrogated. Sivarajah was taken away without his National Identity Card and no shirt on him, according to the complaint. So far nothing is known about Sivarajah, his wife said.
