2 Muslim men abducted in Ampaa’rai

Unidentified armed men arriving in a white van abducted Sunday around 7:00 p.m a Muslim youth in Chaainthamaruthu police division and in a separate incident Monday around 8:00 p.m armed men in a white van abducted a Muslim fisherman in Chammaanththu’rai police division, in Ampaa’rai district, according to complaints made by the relatives of the abductees at the respective police stations.

The youth abducted Sunday is Mohamed Razeen, 29.

Razeen was abducted from his mechanic shop on Kalmunai-Chaainthamaruthu road in Chammaanththu’rai.

The fisherman abducted Monday is I. Latheep, 50, a father of five children.

Latheep was abducted from his home at Suthiyaar Veethi, Ninthavoor, Chaainthamaruthu, according to the complaint made by his wife to Chammaanththu’rai police.
