US, India, Israel plot against Sri Lanka, alleges JVP

The Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP), a Sinhala nationalist party, appealed to Sri Lanka’s President Mahinda Rajapakse to take stern action against the incumbent US ambassador in Sri Lanka for making a statement derogatory to the sovereignty of Sri Lanka. JVP has described the US ambassador's statement as a part of a plot hatched by the USA, India and Israel against Sri Lanka.

US Ambassador had told the Government of Sri Lanka to put forward a political solution without waiting for the defeat of the LTTE in the battlefront.

"US has been using the Sri Lanka conflict for its political gain. US should first quit Iraq and Afghanistan without massacring civilians there. US envoy has exceeded his limit as a diplomat by making a statement undermining the sovereignty of the country. He had made that statement in Chennai at a time people of Tamilnadu are clamoring for a ceasefire in Sri Lanka. JVP considers US envoy's statement as a part of a plot hatched by three countries including India and Israel against Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan government is not a position to go against US as she has signed a secret defence agreement with US," JVP said in a statement.
