The body of three-wheeler driver, who was abducted on December 13, was recovered Monday morning with gunshot injuries in his head along the tank bund of Pandaarikulam, sources in Vavuniyaa said. Inthirarasa Nanthakumar, 26, was a resident of Thonniakal in Vavuniyaa division. Unidentified armed men abducted him with his three-wheeler while he was waiting for hire at Vavuniyaa bus stand.

His three-wheeler was found abandoned at Kanthapuram in Vavuniyaa the next day.

Vavuniyaa Magistrate viewed the body and ordered postmortem examination.
