[TamilNet, Sunday, 11 January 2009, 13:15 GMT]
A decomposed body believed to be of a male was recovered by Neduntheevu (Delft) and Oorkavaththu'rai (Kayts) Police Saturday, and was transferred to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital, sources in Jaffna said. The recovery brings the total to seven unidentified bodies, four in Kaangkeasanthu'rai, and two in Point Pedro (Paruththith-thu'rai) recently recovered in the shores of Jaffna peninsula and islets.

Civil society sources fear that bodies may belong to refugees fleeing war in the North and attacked in mid-sea by the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN).
