4 policemen, a civilian injured in accident in Jaffna

Four policemen and a civilian were injured when a police jeep collided with a passenger bus at a crossroad in Jaffna town Thursday around 8:00 a.m, sources in Jaffna said. All the injured were admitted to Jaffna Teaching Hospital and one of the policemen has been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

A jeep that belongs to Chaavakachcheari police, speeding along Palaali road on its way to Jaffna town, collided with a passenger bus from Jaffna town to Point Pedro at a time when there was a Sri Lanka Army convoy of vehicles passing by, the sources said.
