Initial investigation revealed that the youth, abducted some days earlier by unidentified armed persons, was brought to a site in a three-wheeler along School Road in Maha Irrambaikulam on Sunday night around 9:00 p.m. and was shot dead.

Later his body was burnt beyond recognition.
