Muslim IDP abducted in Puththa値am welfare centre

Unidentified armed persons arriving on three motor bicycles abducted an internally displaced Muslim person from a refugee camp located in Mohideen Nakar at Fourth Mile Post along Puththa値am-Mannaar road Tuesday around 2.30 a.m, according to complaints lodged with Puththa値am Police by his relatives.

The abducted person was identified as K. Anas, the father of three children.

Relatives said they were unable to identify the abductors as they had covered their faces with black cloth.

The matter has been brought to the notice of human rights organizations in the area.
