Sri Lanka Administrative Service Association (SLASA), while strongly condemning the arrest of Ki値inochchi Government Agent (GA), S. SLASA said in its appeal that Vethanayagam has served in the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) for 20 years and more in civil administrative service and that his remarkable and dedicated service could be traced from the records in his personal file.

GA Vethanayagam, has been executing his duties as the GA of Ki値inochchi in cooperation with Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in Vanni, serving the Vanni people with utmost dedication to mitigate their misery, SLASA said in its public appeal.

The authorities should take into consideration the grief and anxiety of his two school going children and family, SLASA said in its appeal.

SLASA further urged the government to release Vethanayagam immediately.
