Tamil civilian arrested in Colombo

A Tamil civilian Subramanian Siva Kumar was arrested by the Terrorism
Investigations Department (TID) in Colombo, according to the Director
of the TID. He told media persons in Colombo Thursday evening that the
suspect has been identified as a hardcore cadre of the LTTE.
Meanwhile, a team of officials from the Criminal Investigation
Department (CID) has been posted to the Katunayake International
Airport (KIA) to check on politicians and their supporters leaving the
country. The CID team is headed a Senior Superintendent of Police They said that Immigration officials have been instructed to alert the CID
whenever a politician or their supporters arrive in KIA to leave the country. A list of names has been submitted to the immigration
officials.
