The demonstrators caused obstruction to traffic on the public road affecting persons including patients in critical condition, according to the case filed against the demonstators by Kaaththaankudi police.

The unemployed graduates in Batticaloa district had marched in a protest demonstration organizesd by Batticaloa district Unemployed Graduates Association demanding immediate employment, from Peachchiayamman temple to Batticaloa district government secretariat.
