Ampaa'rai student tops Tamil scholarship exam

A girl student of Thampiluvil Kalaimakal Viththiyaalayam in Thirukkoayil Education Zone in Ampaa’rai district secured the first place in Tamil medium Year Five scholarship examination 2010.

According to the results released by the Department of Examination on Wednesday, Malavan Subatha from Ampaa'rai obtained 193 marks followed by Yaseer Mohamed of Ramakrishna College in Kandy with 192 marks and P. Yogeswara of Vavuniyaa Vipulaanathaa Makaa Viththiiyaalayam and K. S. Jude of Mannaar St. Xavier College with 190 marks each.

In Sinhala medium T. K. Edirisingha of Dharmapala College in Pannipitiya became first in the island with 196 marks, followed by N. Y. Premaratna, L. Navodaya of Mahinda College Galle and K. Pabasara of Meegastenna MV with 194 marks each.
