3 civilians injured in explosion in Ki値inochchi

A landmine hidden under a destroyed building in Paarathipuram in Ki値incochi exploded Monday around 5:00 p.m injuring three civilians who were removing the remnants of the building, the office in charge of de-mining, in Jaffna Secretariat said. One of the injured was transferred to Jaffna Teaching Hospital for further treatment from Ki値inochchi government hospital where the injured had been admitted.

The men injured in the blast are Muthusamy Prasanth, 18, Palaniyaandi Chathirasekar, 45, and Subramnaiam Suresh, 21.

Subramaniam Suresh is the person taken to Jaffna Teaching Hospital.
