A video clip has surfaced on YouTube Thursday showing LTTE's Batticaloa Commander Col. Ramesh in the custody of Sri Lankan soldiers, after he reached Sri Lanka Army captured Vadduvaakal with civilians on 18 May 2009. TamilNet has been in contact with a person who witnessed Ramesh reaching Vadduvaakal unarmed on 18 May. The eyewitness, fleeing the island, also confirmed that Ramesh was identified by the SLA personnel and separated from civilians. The latest information on Ramesh is the 34 seconds video that has been leaked out on the Internet.

The video has been leaked by Sinhala sources in the South and published on the Internet on Thursday.

In the video, the interrogators were questioning Ramesh in English. Ramesh was responding that he understood only a little of what they were questioning and that he was sincerely responding to the questions he understood. He also requests translation in Tamil as the interrogators were threatening to attack him with baton. The leaked video abruptly ends at 34th second, indicating that there is a full video of the remaining interrogation.

Earlier, there have been reports confusing Tamil Eelam Police Chief Ramesh, who went together with LTTE Political Head B. Nadesan and the Deputy Director of LTTE Peace Secretariat S. Puleedevan with LTTE military commander Ramesh.
