Vaiko, the genral secretary of MDMK, on Wednesday condemned Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the commander-in-chief of the armed forces of Sri Lanka for having carried out a “barbaric act” allegedly by letting his troops to desecrate the ashes of the late Parvathi Amma, the mother of LTTE leader V. The MDMK leader urged the International Community to act before it is too late. The Rajapaksa regime is blocking the independent investigations and was not allowing access to foreign NGOs that could witness the plight of Tamils, who are continuously subjected to genocide, he said.

Tamil Eelam is the only solution to put an effective end to the genocide on Eezham Tamils, Mr. Vaiko said.
