The oath taking event of seventy six councilors of the fifteen local bodies in the North and East is scheduled to be held on Saturday in Trincomalee Town Hall. All the ITAK councilors including twelve Chairmen and Vice Chairmen will be taken in a procession from Trincomalee Sri Paththirakali Ambal Kovil along the Dockyard Road to the Trincomalee Town Hall.

Parliamentarians of TNA and leaders of constituent parties of the TNA are also scheduled to address the event.
