Five arrested in Jaffna

Five women were arrested this morning by the Sri Lankan Army. They were arrested due to possible connections with the Liberation Tigers said sources.

The women are:


1. Ramalingam Gajalakshmi,21, Navalar road, Nallur. She works at a telecommunications centre.
2. Rasenthiram Valarmathi ,31,Kotravathai, Alavetti,she works at a pharmacy.
3. Santhalingam Malini , Aanaikotai, who works at a bussiness establishment.
4. Mrs. Puvenendiram Kavitharanjini, 28 , Parathipuram, Thiruneveli,
5. Theiventhiram Nirmalaveni,27, Murugan Veethi , Thiruneveli.
The two women from Thiruneveli were blindfolded and taken in an army truck sources said.
