Refusal to use "genocide" indicates male fides - Boyle

Tamils need an “acid test” in order to dispose of all the international charlatans and hucksters now coming your way. If they will not use the word “genocide,” then they are doing GOSL’s genocidal dirty work for it against the Eelam Tamils," said Professor Francis A. Boyle, and expert in international law who teaches at the University of Illinois, College of Law. A keen observer of the Tamil conflict for the past several years, Prof Boyle said he has been watching with alarming interest the involvement of several countries in the West including the US, UK and many members of the European Union in resolving the conflict, but ultimately ending up whitewashing Sri Lanka's international crimes, and displaying an illogical hesitancy in admitting that the Tamils constitute a nation.

“We need some acid test to determine the good faith of all these foreigners who say they want to help us like the Swiss and the Norwegians and the Americans and the British and the Europeans and the United Nations Officials, etc.

"I submit that acid test of their bona fides must be: Have you used the word ‘genocide’ to condemn what the GOSL has done to the Eelam Tamils? If not these foreigners are worthless. In fact, they are more dangerous than useless.

"Terminology counts for everything for a People being subjected to ongoing genocide like the Eelam Tamils by the GOSL,” Boyle wrote.

"Obviously, we are not going to have the time or the resources to investigate all these foreigners going over there offering to “help” the Eelam Tamils now. But if they refuse to use the word “genocide,” then their “advice” and “services” should be rejected. A simple one-word Acid Test: “genocide.” Pass or Fail.

"Jews don’t take seriously anyone who denies the Nazi Holocaust against the Jews. Tamils should not take seriously anyone who denies the GOSL Holocaust against the Tamils," Boyle added.

Prof. Boyle is convinced that the alleged crimes by the State of Sri Lanka on Tamils fall within the definition of the crime of genocide, and have said in several fora that he would be ready to represent the Tamils in the International Court of Justice (World Court) when a member nation is ready to file a case against Sri Lanka.
