Four University students arrested

Four Tamil undergraduates from the University of Moratuwa were arrested by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in Colombo last night. The whereabouts of the students were not known until this noon sources said. All are from Jaffna.
Military sources said that they had been arrested in connection with the recovery of a hand gun from a person suspected to be a member of the Liberation Tigers. The Police, however, said that they were still investigating. Parents and relatives said that they cane to know this afternoon that the arrested undergraduates are being detained at the Nugegoda Police station. One of the students is the son of Jaffna's director of Education, Mr.Thanikaaslam. The names of the Moratuwa undergraduates taken into custody last night are: 1.Amaladaas, 24
