Mine wounds two schoolboys[TamilNet, Wednesday, 29 September 1999, 14:05 GMT]A 15-year old school boy who was abducted by unidentified men on bicycle at Aarukaalmadam in Jaffna was released yesterday, while two others were wounded by a mine, sources said. Ellalasingham Jeyatheepan of Vannarpannai abducted while he was on his way to the school on Monday, sources said. His parents told the Human Rights Commission that the boy was kept at an unused old building with his hands and legs tied. The abductors had warned that he should not make any complaints about the abduction, his parents said. It is not known who abducted the schoolboy and the motive for it. Meanwhile two schoolboys were wounded at Thellippalai, north of Jaffna town when an anti personnel mine went off yesterday noon. The mine exploded close to the perimeter of a Sri Lanka Army (SLA) camp The boys have been identified as Jegan Parameswaran,13 and Jeyanantharasa Jeyapriyanthan,13, students of Mahajana College.
