Eleven wounded in Vavuniya blast

Eleven persons, including a woman, were wounded when a grenade exploded in front of a book shop at the Vavuniya bus terminal around 7 p.m. this evening police sources said.
Following are the names of the wounded persons: K.Prabakar (37), K.Myuran (18), Alagasuntheram (27), Surendrarajah (49), S.Kandiah (30), Sellamma (49), Sureshkumar (20), Selvarasa (30), Rahulan (22), Deeswaran (24) and Sivanantharajah (30). All are Tamils. The wounded were rushed to the hospital in Anuradhapura. Hospital sources said four of the wounded were in a critical condition. The security forces cordoned off the bus terminal and conducted a search operation soon after the explosion, residents said. It is not known if any arrests were made.
