(Correction) Norway's state secretary for foreign affairs, Leiv Lunde arrived in Colombo on Sunday evening on a three-day visit, political sources said.
Today he met Ceylon Workers Congress representatives and held discussions with them. Mr.Lunde is scheduled to have talks with representatives from other political parties on Tuesday, Tamil sources said. The Norwegian Foreign Minister earlier planned to visit Colombo on January 16 to initiate the peace deal between the government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. But he called off his visit to Sri Lanka due to the absence of Sri Lanka's Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar who was in Europe. Norway's Foreign Minister was later expected to visit Sri Lanka during the weekend. The Norwegian delegation is due to leave on Wednesday, sources said.
