Decomposed body found in Trincomalee harbour

The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) today claimed that the decomposed body of a person found floating in the Trincomalee harbor, close to the jetty of Chinabay Prima Milling Complex, was of a member of the Liberation Tigers, sources said.
The SLN sources added that they had also recovered a portion of the jacket normally used by LTTE suicide squad. The upper portion of the body was found floating in the sea, and the lower portion was missing, according to naval sources. Meanwhile, the body of a Muslim youth drowned in the Trincomalee sea on Thursday evening has not been recovered yet, relatives said. On Thursday, three Muslim youths including a student of Trincomalee Sri Koneswara Hindu College went for a sea bath, behind Dyke Street in Trincomalee town. They were drowned in the sea due to an under current. The body of one Munas, a student was recovered immediately. Another youth was saved. The body of the third person, Riyal, has not been recovered yet, sources said.
