Thirty-five wounded in bus bomb

Thirty-five people were injured, many of them seriously, when a bomb exploded in a bus bound for Monaragala from Bible, close to Pinnapura junction around 8.10 a.m., police and hospital sources said.

Three critically wounded persons were admitted to theBadulla hospital, whilst the others were admitted to the Monaragala hospital.

Meanwhile a second bomb exploded in a bus at Bibile bus terminal around 9.30a.m. There were no casualties in this incident, police said.
