Government peace delegation leaves Colombo

The four-member Sri Lankan government peace delegation left Colombo Saturday morning. The delegation comprises Ministers Messrs G.L.Peiris, Milinda Morogoda and Rauff Hakeem and Peace Secretariat Secretary General Mr.Bernard Gunatilake.
On arrival in Thailand Minister Mr G.L.Peiris told local journalists who accompanied the government peace delegation, "unlike in the past, this time many favourable changes have taken place that will enable the present peace talks to bear fruit." He said that the international community has extended its full support for the success of the peace process. Minister and Sri Lanka Muslim Congress leader Mr.Rauff Hakeem said he would use this opportunity to find amicable solutions to the differences between the Muslims and LTTE.
