Chavakachcheri Magistrate, Mr.Annalingam Premashankar, Wednesday evening inspected a house vacated recently by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in Mirusuvil where a human skull was discovered from the refuse dump, sources said.
The new occupant was clearing the land for resettlement when he found the skull, according to sources. The house was one of the 172 houses from the Mirusuvil Educated Girls Colonization Scheme, the SLA handed back to the displaced families under the Cease-Fire Agreement. Following the 2000 military operation, the Sri Lanka Army occupied 192 civilian houses in the Mirusuvil area. The SLA still occupies 20 civilian houses in the area. The Magistrate ordered the Police to collect all human
