NEPC to hold two-day photographic exhibition

The Nort- East Provincial Council is to hold its first photographic exhibition in Trincomalee on March 22 and 23, and photographs focusing on historic places, antiques, cultural identity and scenic beauty will be displayed in the two-day exhibition, provincial ministry sources said.

More than five hundred photographs will be displayed in the exhibition and two best photographs of each category will be selected and will be awarded certificates, NEPC sources said.

The exhibition will be held at the Trincomalee Sri Koneswara Hindu College hall. Provincial Secretary to the Ministry of Education, Mr.R.Thiagalingam, will preside over the inaugural event of the exhibition on March 22. Provincial Public Service Commission Secretary, Mr.V.P.Balasingham, will participate as the chief guest.

The exhibition is being organised to promote persons involved in photography in the North-East province, the sources said.
