Five day cultural festival concludes in Trincomalee

The five day Festival of Music, Dance and Drama concluded Saturday attended by large crowd at Trincomalee Orr's Hill Vivekandanda College auditorium. Trincomalee district parliamentarian Mr.R.Sampanthan and national list parliamentarian Mr.K.Thurairetnasingham declared open the final day festival by lighting the traditional oil lamp. The festival was organized by the Arts and Cultural Department of the LTTE.

A senior leader of LTTE, Balakumaran, giving key note address
Attorney at-Law Mr.K.Sivapalan presided. Head of the LTTE women political wing Ms Thamilini, LTTE's senior leader Mr.K.V.Balakumaran delivered the keynote addresses.

LTTE's Arts and Cultural Wing head Mr.Puthuvai Ratnathurai delivered the concluding address. He said next cultural festival would be held in Batticaloa.

Several music, dance and drama events took place on the final day.

The music recital by the South Indian playback singer Ms T.K.Kala was the highlight on Saturday, sources who attended the festival said. Cultural Drama
