SIHRN Jaffna branch to be opened

The Sub Committee on Immediate Humanitanarian Rehabilitation Needs (SIHRN) is to open a branch next week to function from the Jaffna Secratariat to supervise and manage SIHRN projects in Jaffna district, local reports from Jaffna said.

The office will be staffed by representatives from SIHRN and Government of Sri Lanka.

The SIHRN Jaffna office will be involved in identifying and prioritizing development projects in the district, producing proposal and planning documents, and providing advice towards implementation procedures, technology to meet project objectives, SIHRN officials said.

The Secretariat branch will also serve public and the press as a center for information for SIHRN activities, officials said.
