Thooyavan, who was LTTE's political headin the Jaffna district . Mr.M.Ratnasingham, who was the father of LTTE martyr Captain Roshan, lit the flame of sacrifice, sources said.

Jaffna district Tamil National Alliance parliamentarians, Messrs. A.Vinayagamoorthy and M.K.Sivajilingam, garlanded the photograph of Thileepan, sources said.

Messrs. Sivagnanam, Vinayagamoorthy and Sivajilingam, Mr.Ilamparuthi and Tamil author Mr.Sembian Selvan spoke at the event.
