Fresh deployments of so-called ‘Special Task Force’ commandos, a full-fledged combat military administratively coming under SL Police has been silently moved into several locations in the Jaffna peninsula ‘integrating’ SL military intelligence in a sophisticated manner. There are also fresh attempts to acquire lands for intelligence outfits being expanded in Jaffna. In the meantime, several new tactics are being deployed by the SL military intelligence in other parts of the Tamil homeland.

But, it is the district with lowest fertility-rate registered in the whole island. If Tamils fail to take proper measures to address the issue, their status will decline as the third ethnicity, ranking below Tamil-speaking Muslims by the year of 2028, according to the projection by Murali Vallipuranathan MBBS, who holds expertise in population studies. A systematic genocidal policy of birth control is being implemented against Tamils, the expert says with credible evidences and statistics. While controlling the birth rate among Tamils, there are systematic efforts to accelerate the birth rate among the Sinhalese, both by the SL State machinery and the sections of Sinhala extremist groups such as the Bodu Bala Sena (Buddhist Power Force) that function as pressure groups on the government. The self-mobilisation, without any political force behind them, was highly emotional at Muzhangkaavil and Kanakapuram Maaveerar Thuyilum Illams (Heroes Cemeteries) in Ki'linochchi district, at Vanni-vi'laangku'lam in Mullaiththeevu, and at Pa'ndi-virichchaan and Aa'ndaang-ku'lam in Mannaar district, political observers in Vanni said. The people decorated the destroyed memorial stones with red and yellow pieces of clothes. Apart from the collective remembrance at the Heroes Cemeteries that were razed to the ground by the occupying Sinhala military, Eezham Tamils remembered their heroes by lighting flames of sacrifice at school grounds and by tolling temple bells across the occupied country of Eezham Tamils. Academics and students, including Muslim and Sinhala students, took part in the memorial event lighting candles in front of the symbol of Kaarthikaip-poo, the flower declared by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam as the national flower of Tamil Eelam. Photos celebrating the life of LTTE Leader Veluppillai Pirapaharan and posters paying tribute to fallen Tamil Eelam Heroes were put up at several places. The move, planned in total silence, was quickly mobilised as the students wanted to mark it before the weekend this year. The forces that work behind the fundamentalism of different religions in the island are one and the same. There is a master plan for the conquest of Tamil Nadu that is now ruled by the Dravidian movements for more than half a century. The coastlines between Tamil Nadu and the country of Eezham Tamils in the island share similar religious demography and there is a sinister move to create conflicts among these groups to weaken the language-based nationalism of all Tamils, commented Eezham Tamil and Tamil Nadu political observers. One of the latest ‘secret’ auctions has taken place within the last 6 months and the transactions involve multi-million rupees, civil sources at Mullaiththeevu District Secretariat told TamilNet this week. There was no transparency on how the auction was conducted and the transactions involved in it, they said. While more than 900 Tamil vehicle owners, who were uprooted several times during the onslaught and who were incarcerated in barbed-wire camps in Menik Farm are blatantly refused any insurance coverage, the occupying military of genocidal Sri Lanka is still cashing in on auctioning seized vehicles even after 7 years. The fishermen representatives from North were told to cooperate with the suggestion from New Delhi of allowing Indian fishermen entry to the seas off Northern province for three consecutive years. The fishing society members were also asked to sign on a document, which they have declined. In the meantime, Colombo's ministers were discussing the issue with their counterparts at a ‘ministerial-level’ meeting in New Delhi on Saturday. In both the meetings, the Northern Provincial Council, which has a specific ministry for Fisheries, has been completely sidelined, according to the fishermen’s representatives who took part in the meeting at New Delhi on 02 November. The student federation activists told TamilNet on Thursday that Mr Cooray had sent them a reply in Sinhala language to their appeals, which were addressed to SL President and SL Prime Minister and handed over to the representative, Mr Cooray, during the protest in Jaffna on Monday. If Tamil is accorded a status as official language in the island, why is Mr Cooray responding in Sinhala to the Tamil students in Jaffna, the student leaders asked. Mr Cooray was earlier taking the side of Sinhala students who triggered off an ethnic motivated confrontation at the Jaffna University. Heeding to the call coming from the Tamil political parties following the brutal killings of two Tamil students of Jaffna University by Sinhala policemen on Thursday last week, all the businesses, academic institutions, public offices and even pharmacies and petrol sheds were shut down. No one, except those, who engaged in marking their protests by blocking the roads, were seen on the streets. Although the shut-down was largely peaceful, there were some clashes between Tamil youth and Sinhala policemen at Ki’linochchi, where an Indian-operated and US-funded garments company, which is alleged of exploiting Tamil labourers, refused to heel the call for the protest until the Citizens’ Committee intervened. Both the students died due to gunshot injuries, medical sources at Jaffna hospital said contradicting the cover-up of Colombo. The latest crime committed by the Sinhala Police carrying automatic rifles in the occupied Tamil homeland is a serious security threat to the nation of Eezham Tamils. Sinhala police is not different to the genocidal military as far as the nation of Eezham Tamils are concerned. It was the violent acts by the Sinhala Police in Jaffna that triggered Tamil militant response in the late 70s, Jaffna University student leaders told TamilNet condemning Colombo and its international collaborators, who have failed to deliver justice to the crimes committed against the nation of Eezham Tamils in the past. Refusing to comment anything on who the culprits were and why they abducted him and subjected him to torture, the father of one chose to seek legal protection through the police in Ki'linochchi, sources in Ki'linochchi said. So-called white-van squads operated by the SL military intelligence were behind similar abductions in the past, especially during the times of Gotabhaya Rajapaksa as the ‘Defence Secretary’ of the occupying SL military. The latest abduction has raised alarms among the business community in the North-East. The occupying Sinhala military has increased its surveillance on former LTTE members, who were coming for medical inspections, especially after allegations of suspicious injections or unauthorised medicine given to them under the genocidal custody of the SL military during the so-called ‘military rehabilitation’. The medical authorities in North have made arrangements for the former LTTE members to start medical inspections according to a publicly announced schedule in each district. This has made it more easier for the SL military to identify and harass those who appear for medical inspections, the sources further said. Fr. S.V.B. Mangalarajah, the president of the Justice & Peace Commission in Jaffna, has issued a report exposing some of the fundamental failures of this ‘one-way’ determined campaign of ‘reconciliation’ and the so-called ‘good governance’. Lands of the people not returned, political prisoners not released, lack of accountability for missing persons, serious apprehensions regarding the OMP, the PTA still being enforced, denial of memorial rights, lack of official arrangements to look after the victims of war, poisonous injections causing concern, failed local investigations and unabated erecting Buddha statues are pointed out in the report.
