Three LTTE members killed

Three members of the Liberation Tigers were shot dead by the Sri Lanka Army soldiers in Vavunthivu, 3 km. south-west of Batticaloa in the early hours of the morning today, army sources in the eastern town said.

SLA, Tigers skirmish near gateway base

Youths say assaulted in detention

Peace maker government falls

Norway's ruling coalition government led by Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik resigned Thursday night after the opposition voted in favour of building a new gas power plant. A spokesman for the Norwegian Foreign Minister told TamilNet, that Norway's peace initiative in Sri Lanka will be followed up by the new government.
