Land mine attack kills three

TULF slams hostile Tamil press

"The Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) has never acted against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE). We have been asking the Sri Lankan Government to hold talks with them to resolve the conflict. New amnesty for deserters - SLA

Twenty six soldiers were wounded in limited operations conducted by the Sri Lankan Army in Kudarappu and Kaithady in Jaffna and in the Paranthan during the last 48 hours said military spokesman Brig.Sunil Tennekoon, addressing journalists at the cabinet press briefing today. He said that 21 Tigers were killed in Paranthan and 6 Tigers in Jaffna in these operations.

Five die in accidental explosion - VoT

The VoT said this morning that 3 Liberation Tigers and 2 of its supporters died in an accidental explosion at Kilinochchi on December 15. Another member of the Liberation Tigers died in a clash with the SLA at Ambakaamam on the same day, the radio said.
