There are more than 6,000 Sinhala military personnel within the UC area where 25,000 civilians reside. The SL Army, Navy and the STF troopers are stationed at more than 15 positions within the 27 square km. The systematic consolidation of the naval and army cantonments, camps, and positions has taken place despite clear demands from the civil sources to de-militarize the densely populated UC area. The strategic part of the district, commanding both the Palk Bay and the Gulf of Mannaar as well as commanding the closest communication line with the Tamil Nadu coast, has become a hive of intense Sinhala militarisation and demographic changes in recent times. The Sinhala extremists who are engaged in seizing lands from Tamils in the district in the Eastern province have deployed a former Sri Lankan Presidential Coordinator from Poththuvil and a former paramilitary operative as their agents, Tamil officials at the District Secretariat said verifying that the lands belong to the Hindu temple. The modus operandi of the SL commissions of the past and present, including the new ones that are being launched by the current regime incorporating Tamil ‘collaborators’ from Batticaloa and Jaffna, is nothing new to Eezham Tamils. Global Tamils should conceive universal models of justice without getting locked into the so-called Transnational Justice advocates coming through Colombo, the activists further said. He knows full well that the GOSL has inflicted genocide on the Eelam Tamils that continues as of today. Zeid was sent there by the United States Government and the United Nations Bureaucracy to do damage control and damage limitation on behalf of the Genocidal GOSL Regime against the Eelam Tamils. He who pays the piper calls the tune." The SL military vacated from Pallappai a year later in 2013 and instructed the people not to dig the abandoned wells in an attempt to cover up alleged mass graves. The genocidal State of Sri Lanka still refuses to reveal the whereabouts of the father of two children. Despite reports of alleged mass graves, there have been no efforts by the judiciary of ‘Sri Lanka’ to excavate the killing fields. Reporters in Jaffna question the advice by the visiting UN Human Rights Chief to expect delivery of justice through the ‘Sri Lankan’ judiciary. The trauma, experienced by these families has reached an epidemic proportion after SL Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe publicly telling Tamils to regard all those missing as dead on the day of Pongkal Tamil festival in January, the delegation told Mr Zeid. The activists witnessed total lack of understanding on the part of UN Human Rights Chief on the deep-rooted structural crimes taking place against Tamils in the East under the Mahaweli Minister and SL President Maithiripala Sirisena. Wigneswaran, who met UN Human Rights Chief Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein, visiting Jaffna on Sunday, the Chief has conveyed to him that the governments of the International Community are not in favour of the model of granting general amnesty to prisoners of war. Mr Zeid was citing the case of Syria and this message should go to our children languishing in the prisons, the Chief Minister said. Mr Zeid has indicated that the Tamil POWs should go through the judicial system of Colombo for their release. From demanding Tamils to surrender to genocidal Sri Lanka during the war, to prodding them into barbed-wire camps at the end of the war and to the present stand of the UN Human Rights Chief, the UN was always dodging its responsibilities. Kennedy's congratulatory remarks and endorsement of Sri Lanka on Thursday the 4th of February, Sri Lanka's Independence Day. Responding to Secretary Kennedy's statement that "plenteous in prosperity" and "in wisdom and strength renewed" as very apt portrayal of Sri Lanka's destiny, Boyle said "Yes, the Genocidal GOSL’s “destiny” is to exterminate the Eelam Tamils and to steal all of Tamil Eelam. And the United States government is going to help the Genocidal GOSL to continue to do so." Just a look at the faces of the enslaved Tamils and occupying Sinhalese would tell the reality. No explanation is needed to those who are familiar with the world history of occupations and genocide. A video recording of the event, which has been recorded and distributed through social media on the Internet, is being reproduced by TamilNet for the purpose of historical record. The video is a must to be seen by all. Full story >> [TamilNet, Friday, 05 February 2016, 08:21 GMT] “Tamils are being suppressed as ‘minority’ in this country. This so-called Independence Day is only for Sinhalese, ruling this country as majority. They celebrate this day with Kiribath [milk rice] in the South. We have not forgotten that they also celebrated the annihilation of thousands and lakhs of Tamils at Mu'l'livaaykkaal in 2009, serving Kiribath in the South,” a protesting mother in Mannaar, who joined the district wide protests of Tamils marking the so-called Independence Day of Ceylon, which has later become genocidal ‘Sri Lanka’, as a Black Day. In the meantime V.S. Sivakaran, a young Tamil activist in Mannaar said Tamils have no emotional attachment to the day and that they saw it merely as an Independence Day of a neighbouring country. Tamils marked the day as a Black Day in all the 8 districts of the Northern and Eastern provinces on Thursday. Genocide by both sides is the picture given. Last month, Reuter Africa came out with another story: “Ethnic minority Tamils were often favoured for higher government positions under British colonial rule. After independence in 1948, many lost their positions as successive governments pursued language and other policies favouring the majority Sinhalese population,” the story said. According to the drawings finalised by survey officials of the Sri Lankan State on 18 November, 2015, the lands belonging to 1,475 Eezham Tamils are to be permanently seized under the pretext of ‘development’ of Palaali air base. UNP agents in Jaffna have been deployed to ‘convince’ the organisations through promising compensations, the representatives of uprooted people in Valikaamam North told TamilNet on Tuesday. Tamil families that are dependent on freshwater fishing are unable to withstand Sinhala intruders exploiting their catch. Farmers are robbed off their cattle by Sinhala colonisers. On top of everything, wild elephant attacks taking place during the nights have dashed the hopes of sustaining their lives and properties in 60 villages, the affected people say. The resolution was entirely indigenous. It had the spirit of struggle. The Tamil People's Council (TPC) draft proposal, in its thrust, is dictated by the outside imperialist need to retain the Agent State ‘Sri Lanka’ in one piece. The TPC draft is confined to larger outlines set from the outside. There is no struggle, but compromise. Right from the Tamil chieftains of Nalloor signing a defeatist treaty with the Portuguese; the Kandyans signing a similar one with the British and all treaties being forgotten in the creation of the unitary State, the game of conceding the island to suit views through outside prisms continues. But whether Rajapaksa or Sirisena, the USA refusing to see genocide and imposing the ‘Sri Lanka’ paradigm on the genocide-affected nation of Eezham Tamils is the core injustice to world Tamils as well as to peoples of similar plight in world humanity. Justice cannot come through fundamentally unjustifiable resolutions spearheaded by the USA at the UNHRC that failed to recognize even the name Tamil, commented Tamil activists for alternative politics in the island, responding to NYT editorial “Time for Justice in Sri Lanka.” Full story >> [TamilNet, Friday, 29 January 2016, 02:03 GMT]Asserting as unacceptable Sri Lanka's President Sirisena's statement that his government will not act in "haste" to move forward the justice process demanded by the U.N. resolution of last October, the New York Times in today's editorial said, "[t]roubling allegations of torture under Mr. Sirisena’s watch — which his government denies — must be addressed. Military leaders who oversaw the bloody operations that killed as many as 40,000 Tamil civilians in the final months of the war remain in command, and have even been promoted. A dangerous anti-Muslim campaign by Singhalese nationalists is threatening to further fray Sri Lanka’s ethnic fabric." They were responding to the latest statement coming from the civil society passing the blame on the ‘mixed signals’ coming from Sirisena and Wickramasinghe in implementing the 2015 Geneva resolution. The struggle outlook of the civil society is fundamentally wrong in basing their discourse on the flawed US-set agenda at Geneva. The civil society will not be passing any message to world humanity without pinpointing the role of the ultimate culprits and addressing them to their face, the activists said. The kith and kin of Eezham Tamils, who are reported missing after being captured by the occupying military of genocidal Sri Lanka, on Thursday demanded the Tamil politicians, Northern Provincial Council and the Eezham Tamil civil society to publicly denounce genocidal Colombo on February 04 on the so-called independence day of ‘Sri Lanka’ observing the day as a Black Day. Grassroots organisations, including the Citizens’ Committee of Mannaar, condemned the SL Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasinghe and the SL Minister of Health Rajitha Senaratne for their recent attempts to classify thousands of Eezham Tamils missing at the hands of the Sinhala military as dead.

The detection dogs brought by the SL police were sniffing towards the Navy camp. In the meantime, a Tamil girl, who was sexually abused by three Sinhala soldiers at Chanthi-ve’li in Batticaloa five years ago at the age of eight, is still fearing for the lives of herself and family members. One of the abusers was still deployed in the area. Her father seeking justice was subjected to ‘grease devil’ attack and had to leave the island on employment. Full story >> [TamilNet, Tuesday, 26 January 2016, 09:14 GMT] A 6-year-old Tamil boy, reported missing at Champoor on Monday evening at 5:30 p.m., was recovered dead after being brutally raped and dumped into an abandoned well located near the ‘Vidura’ camp of the occupying navy of genocidal Sri Lanka. The resettled Tamil families who went searching for the boy found traces of sexual abuse inside an abandoned house located near the naval camp. Military shoelaces have been used to bind the boy to a stone, the eyewitnesses who were watching the SL police to recover the corpse from the well, told TamilNet. SL President Maithiripala Sirisena is directly responsible for the brutality as he failed to move the Navy camp away from the resettling people as promised, Tamil rights activists in Trincomalee said adding that the West, led by the USA and a host of other countries, is particularly responsible for the continuation of genocidal paradigm after 2009.
