Tight Security Around Colombo

All vehicles entering the capital Colombo will be searched before they are allowed to enter, said the Deputy Inspector General of Police for the Western Province today. SLA warns civilians of major assault

The Sri Lankan Army (SLA) warned today civilians living near LTTE camps and positions, to move away to protect themselves from the attacks by the security forces. The warning was sent over the Jaffna radio broadcast at 5.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. This special transmission can be listened only in the Jaffna peninsula.

Danish delegation to discuss repatriation issues

Budget passes first round of voting

Two killed in fire-fight

Lanka Muditha to sail tomorrow
